ABOUT KUMqUAT

KUMqUAT Jewellery offers an eclectic mix of handcrafted natural gemstone jewellery.
Its founder and designer is Lin Aw, a Graduate Gemologist (GIA).
The jewellery designs of KUMqUAT are inspired and influenced by the raw and vivid
colours of gemstones, and the lifestyles and natural elements of the various cultures
Lin experienced during her travels around the world. Her designs combine the
colours, shapes and textures of natural gemstones together with gold and silver
accents to form an elegant assortment of timeless versatile pieces of jewellery.
Lin, who originates from Malaysia, was educated in Australia. She moved to London,
England in the early 80's where she lived and had a successful career in finance for
eighteen years. In 2003, while on a career break in Washington DC, she took the
opportunity to pursue her passion of the art and science of gemstones and jewellery
by enrolling in the GIA Graduate Gemologist Program. Designing and handcrafting
jewellery soon followed.
KUMqUAT Jewellery was created and launched in the summer of 2006 when Lin
moved to Manhattan, New York. Her jewellery pieces have been featured on the
Fashi5n segements of the California based fashion website www.StarStyle.com
Lin returned to the United Kingdom in the summer of 2007 and currently resides in
London,England.
